Do I need to register a new domain name?

Wristband (cotton sweatband) is one of our best sellers. Some keywords, like "Sports sweatband", "Sports sweatbands", "wrist sweatband", "sports wrist bands", "sweatband" can be ranked in the first few pages on Google. Since it's really a good product, and I believe many customers really need them, you know, we only sell it at $0.92 and our competitors mostly at $3 or $5, so we want to do better SEO.

We are a sporting goods specialized site, www.atafa.com. To get a better ranking for the wristband, do you think it's enough to make a special page on ATAFA.COM or do we have to register an indivial site like wristbandsweatband.com or anything of this kind.

SEO is only helpful to the homepage?

I wouldn't bother buying a domain with 'wristband' in it, I would focus more on optimizing your page titles for your keyword phrases.

Try to have different titles for each page of your site, SEO is just as important for all the pages on your site, visitors can land on any page - not just the home page.

All you have to do is make sure that some of your inbound links are pointing at that page instead of your home page

You can create a seperate page through subdomain as well instead of buying new domain name.

Try to increase number of directories to sbmit your links.

I wouldn't worry about a new domain name, just relevant backlinks with wristband keywords, deep backlinks, good SEO, etc.

If you're feeling aggressive you could consider starting a few relevant sites for cross-promotion, but this would also take time and energy away from the primary goal, so don't get too distracted.

I would make a page such as: www.atafa.com/sports-sweatband/

Dont register a new domain, it will take too long to get listed plus you chance the dreaded sanbox, plus since your site is already established and has authority adding the page should be indexed rather quickly.

Then make that page just about the sweatbands, in your title description and content. Also including a link to that page from ALL of your sites internal pages as well as the homepage would do the trick.
