So, if I have a PageRank 5 site I should just keep buying links on PageRank 5 pages and up?

Would it be a great deal better to just buy links that are = to my pagerank and higher, and related?

Also, does a large number of links on my site hurt my sites pagerank?

Google PR technology is complex which has many variables, keep chruning.. try to retain quality backlinks and continue linkbuilding and adding content especially on topic content. If you ar on PR#6 Target for PR#9.

True.

Its not only to have high PR back link its the matter of quality back link. Moreover I think ontopic conent is very important to increase the PR value of a site. I know a very popular site which is having higher PR value for its internal Member Board page than its home page.

Sure, traffic increases PR. The more and more visitors viewing your site will surely increase your PR. The number of people visiting your website will be considered during the PR updation. Why are you so worried about google toolbar PR? I hope you know the difference between actual PR and google toolbar PR!

Domain Name, Title, Meta Description, Page Content, Backlinks

oh yeah and H1 tags

PageRank is based on links, not traffic.
