Is Social Bookmarking Network effective in increasing traffic to a website? - Page 2

i have recently started using this technique for website http://www.ticket4one.com i have not found a massive influx in web traffic. however the articles i wrote are rating higher in searches now. So i gues my answer is "yes" the only negative side of it i have found is that these bookmarks are rating higher in the search engines than the actual page i bookmarked

The answer is an absolute YES!

The tools I'm using are Ultrabookmarker and bookmarking buttons to speed up bookmarking my pages.

and just something to note: you need to have 50 posts before you can get that link going on your sig...

As example.... Digg works for me as small search engine. They send me every month 10-15 visitors. It is the same traffic like come from WebCrawler, Ask, JayDe and other small search engines and large directories.
Submit your site on Furl, Digg, Del.icio.us
Don't forget to write article for EzineArticles.... Nice traffic also!

i don't think that's spamming...you just want your site to be known...and it is on different social bookmarking sites so i guess thats okay...

it depends on the site and you share.. if share if relevant to most users then it will gain much traffics. the second one depends on the site where you want to bookmark. i recommend you to use digg for bookmarking..cheers

When I first joined Stumble Upon, there was a week when it doubled my traffic. I can say that IBLs are still the best way for free traffic and social bookmarking sites are just add ons

It can be very valuable, or it can be useless, depending on how you do it. With social networking sites, you will get teh most traffic if you build up a network of friends behind you. It gives your votes more power, and they will send more traffic your way. Also, your topic will have more effect on certain sites and not on others, since they all tend to favor certain topics. One that I have been especially impressed with lately is StumbleUpon. Don't forget that the additional traffic can be a source of inbound links...whenever you expose your site to more people, you have a chance they will link to you if you have some great content. I've gotten a lot of new links as a direct result of the extra traffic.

When someone writes a good article on my site I submit it to Digg. I usually get between 3 or 4 Diggs per article, and probably a bit more in traffic. I've added a mod to my forum that simplifies the process of submitting, so soon I will sign up for Furl, and a bunch more and drop articles. As long as you write good content someone will probably read it. If they like it they might just sign up with you.

Blatent advertisements on these sites however probably won't do much for you. You have to write something that is both related to your site and interesting.

Really good and interesting then you will get good traffic from Social Sites and you can take blinklist and blinkbits also.......

I have found that it brings on some quick traffic. If your site is worth the look then the traffic will stay. If its not then oh well, on to the next site!
At least you get indexed on the social site, usually!
