Depends. by social networking sites do you mean Digg and Fark? The amount of traffic can be as much as 50,000 uv a day should you get a link on say Fark.com now that’s free exposure! (I do not get them very often though and your server has to be able to take the traffic).

Yes Social Bookmarking is a great strategy for search engine marketing, and be sure to submit your feed to directories this can help, but yes social bookmarking is a major pull, specially if you write stuff that people find very interesting, you might catch some bait off it.

Use onlywire, I would have to say this is the safest one, but watch out using anything else, my friend at seocompany.ca uses onlywire, and its a great program, don't use any other social bookmarking tools.

Remember when social bookmarking marketing look for a lot of important things, I will be writing about this later . Social bookmarking can be a great source for traffic.

I think traffic would depend on the kind of article that you've posted on social bookmarking site. If you create a good article and really interesting you can get high traffic on social bookmarking site.

yup thats the point to catch links, the only way people will catch links is if they find there site interesting, or they find it has some use to it

i have recently started using this technique for website http://www.ticket4one.com i have not found a massive influx in web traffic. however the articles i wrote are rating higher in searches now. So i gues my answer is "yes" the only negative side of it i have found is that these bookmarks are rating higher in the search engines than the actual page i bookmarked
