You know I'm setting here thinking, and I have finally went up to the 5th page for a keyword that is getting over 14k hits a day, and honestly I think one must understand how Google works, but yes its based upon algorithms, so what everything is algorithms in a computer.
I'm thinking if I didn't understand the computer laugauges that I do, I wouldn't have any clue how the search engines work, and granted you can read, read, and read to try to improve our understandings of seo, and how it parse the text, and etc.
When it comes really down to it, none of this can help, but if we our computer programmers we can quite understand what is going on with the search engines, its quite simple it was written by a computer programmer, but when you see it, and get the desired results for what your doing, then you have concept of how the code was written behind it, so therefore I have learned that its actually easy to get ranked for very competitive keywords, with effort.
Theres really nothing to it, I think I look into it deeper then what most seos do, and I know there is a lot of good seos out there, but don't know computer programming, but they just know what they read, and have been taught, but its a lot better to visually understand the concepts in our head.
