is submitting articles via bot or a software better (since it does save time and the hassle of signing up) or is it better to do it manually? there are so many services out there that will do it manually because they state it is far better than a bot submitting it, is this true?

Some sites may require entering a CAPTCHA or image code as when submitting to sites using phplinkdirectory.
In this case it will be easier to be done manually on the other hand there may be some software that can request from you only to enter the CAPTCHA i.e. semi automated.

can I ask if its a bot that seems like its entering the data how ca na search engine know? its entering specific data given by the user and just repeating it to webpages.

A good combination is often the best approach. I like the 80/20 rule which says you automate 80% of the monkey work, and spend 20% of the time adding that human touch.

In the context of article submissions, this means getting the bot to autocomplete the form, and you manually look over it to make sure it looks good before pressing "submit".

This works good for a lot of things - it's inefficient to manually do what could otherwise be automated. Likewise it's not good to fully automate tasks that should be done manually.
