Why people talking so much about PR?

Well many said that it doesnt matter that much but still it was one of the factor that other webmaster consider before linking with another site./...

But then all the mega sites all have high PRs. I guess it's because they're old and have tons of backlinks and contents.

I believe this factor is very and very small. I saw many sites with PR 3-4 ranking better than sites with PR 5-6.

For example when you have a non-anchor link from PR6 site and that site also not related to your subject/niche, that link will be count for PR but will have very little to do with ranking.

And other way around, if you get anchor contextual link from PR1 site related to your subject/niche, then that link will have much more weight for your ranking and will have very little to do with PR.

Now, you have to decide what you really need PR or Ranking??? The choice is yours.
