Outsourcing to save money

I was reading another thread and quite a few posts stated that good ranks can be acheived for free. But this assumes that your time has no value.

I apply a $value to my time based on what I could earn doing other things and apply that to each task. Sometimes it shows that I am better off to outsource the project rather then spend hours doing it myself.

So this thread is about which tasks are generally better outsourced (unless you have nothing better to do with your time).

1. Directories - A directory posting service is a good way to get some quick and cheap links to your site. But, increasingly directories have controls that block automated submissions.

2. Article Posting - If you want to blast lots of article sites and have no time this is for you. But with the duplicate content principle it is better if you vary your articles text and post manually on a range of sites.

3. PR Releases -

4. Link Building - All down to time.

5. Website Design - Sometimes it is cheaper and better to get somebody else to work up a template. It comes down to your level of skill as making a site is not so hard, but making one that looks good is too time consuming for some.


I personally use Article posting combined with a few extra sites manually, PR Releases and I must admit that I am having a new template made up for a webdesign (mine look ugly).

Article posting is much better done manually. You can ensure the link text is correct and you can vary the text to try and avoid the duplication issues.

But......it takes buckets of time. So what works best for me is to use an automated service. I then know a few good sites that the automated service does not post to and manually post to them.

So I go somewhere in between and keep the time to 1/2 an hour for the posting.
