Assistance required
Hello as you can see im new to these parts , i run several websites which are personally run .. i want to get better listings in google , yahoo and other se's
Now my quander is that im not well up on the seo process and how to go about better placing and improving the site to get better coverage and se traffic
If you can take a look and make some suggestions to changes that i can make to help aid the sites development i would be gratefull ,

Build some links to your site. When you're done with this, build some more links to your site. Then, and only then, build additional links to your site.
Repeat.

we have a lot of links to the site already , can you be more specific as to what type of links .. just link trades .. links with similar sites .. links to sites with good google pr .. links to sites highly ranked in se keywords

Links from high PR pages help, but the importance is often overstated. Clearly, the anchor text of the links matters greatly.
Links from a variety of sites is probably good. It seems to me that a number of links from the same site may not be as helpful as the same number of links from different sites.
There may be something going on contextually in link analysis by Google, but it's not real clear what that is. Links from sites themed similarly to the key phrases you wish to drive may be helpful.
Sorry that this is vague, but Google has been playing it coy of late.

Anchor text is the text that one clicks on to go to another page. It is often underlined.

aha okay .. i thought it was but its best to be safe than sorry eh .. hrm im getting a clearer picture of what i need to be doing better already , thanks for all your help .. especially you johnscott for that tip on what to put on my wall
