Ques. for SEO Experts. - abt Conent Duplicacy.
Hello,
I wanna confirm how google consider a content as duplicate content? I know copy and paste is known as duplicate content. Like if i have a content then i need to change the voice of the content that will be unique. But is there any means by which i can change that original content to the unique?
Please highlight some knowledge abt it.
thanx

Use the original content as a source of information but don't copy the content. Create your content with your own idea or opinions.

Do not even think about duplicate content if you are serious about building a website for commercial purpose.

For sure If you find it difficult to think up whole articles, you can buy PLR articles, and then paraphrase them - make sure they are PLR though - or you will be plagiarizing!

Articles with Private Label Rights. Meaning that you can rewrite it and claim it as your own. Yeah, it's cheating - but not many of us has hours to spend coming up with totally fresh and inspirational content.

The DC filter isn't as strict as some people make it out to be, if you consider all the pages in the serp's that rank with content in quotes you can see that the filter isn't all that strict.
As long as you have unique copying wrapping the quote then you are fine, its like you are commenting on someone else's findings and there is nothing wrong with that.

why bother to use original contents and make it as your unique content?? you cant make it unique if it was really from someone elses idea...what will you do change some words with their synonyms...that wouldn't look like as a unique content for me...try to create your own content and just use other related site/contents as a reference so you will have a lot of idea of what you will wrote on your content...

How Google detects it? Simply by matching text.

Duplicate content good question in one aspect, what a lot of people don't realize that the lower trust a website is with google, and search engines in general, its going to be counted as duplicate content(if it is duplicate content, or copied another website), but say if you had a pr6-8 website, that was in a well trust area with google.
You would have a higher chance of getting away with copying article, or something similar in the website, and not get counted as duplicate content because your website has more trust with google, there several aspects that have effect on this.
No need to worry about duplicate content to be honest, just make unique articles, submit unique links, unique websites, and excedra

the "experts" recon that you need to change 30% of the content to become unique.
There are many syndicated content providers on the Net and the publishers of the content are not "penalized" for using this "duplicate" content.
Your content certainly does not have to be "original unique" all the time, but do add some of your own for about 30% worth and you will have unique enough to not be penalized.
Now whether your "duplicated" content will rank.. well, that is another story....

I am in full agreement on this. There is some logic in the fact that duplicate content aren't filtered out or that it doesn't lower the trust of a page, in that press releases would cause major problems for many portal sites. I have several sites in the casino industry that is ranking very well in some of the most competitive keywords in the industry and they are mainly filled with press releases freely available. However each of these sites are different in structure... I also have some real estate sites that are exactly the same...
However I recently created sites that were completely duplicates of one another. They ranked well for a couple of weeks and then just dissapeared. I am fearly confident that the duplicate site design and content were the reason. There is a threshold, that is for sure
Well it is just my opinion, maybe I am just lucky?
