traffic from press releases

Hi all.

What is your experience with various free press releases? I would like to know:

1) approval time,
2) traffic,
3) income (if not secret ).

I need to know if it's worth it.

TY

1. Approval time is usually less than 2 days.
2. Traffic does help some, but I wouldn't rely on it soly for traffic.
3. No clue.

In my opinion is it worth it as part of a diverse marketing strategy. it also depends on what you are using it for. The more interesting your website, the more potential benefit.

I've never gotten any noticable traffic boost, well aside from maybe a few hundred visitors the day of the release... and I always do paid one's from PRweb and the like. Noting major, like $40 - $80 contribs.

Thanks a lot . I'm doing it as a part of large SEO campaign and was just wondering. I also submitted some press releases and will see how it goes. If they're being approved I will post my experiences with exact traffic numbers here .

Free sites don't always reach out to the mass you want to reach out to. And, when it comes to doing business, few things just make sense when you pay for it. So, I highly recommend contacting your local media or paid press release sites and mediums.
1) approval time: A couple days for free sites
2) traffic: depends greatly on your skills and the news content itself. So, it's a hard thing to say
3) income (if not secret ). It's a secret but paid will get you more generally...

Batch is on the right pathBatch is on the right path
For free press release it will take two to three days time for approval.
Traffic: Not very remarkable.
Income: No Idea.

Honestly I don't get into press releases that much, but keep in mind submitting articles in general are good, I really wouldn't worry about what type of return your going to get off it, I mean yes in one way, but they key is to promote, promote, promote, and watch it take off.

You could go through building stages, and promotion stages for a whole year specially if your newer, but promote articles to numerous article directories, press releases, build link, and etc.

don't worry about if your going to get a return off everything, just do the bes tyou can, and promote like hell!

1. it depends on the directory or site where you submitted
2. sometimes, it gains much traffic especially if the Press Release is good enough, sometimes only a few traffic.. but at least it helps right?
3. if people visited your site because of your release and was impressed with your services or products then that's where income will follow

it's a matter of how you'll promote your site in a nice way

It depends on whether what you are publishing is actually "news.

If you write your PR with a marketing angle and not a "news" angle you may get less exposure.

But you can spin even an old story to sound like a new one.

OK guys, as I promised, here are results: Traffic: 0; Income: 0. I won't use it anymore . It was worth a try anyway. But I count on that some of you probably got traffic from press releases. I wasn't that case.
