MSN is all messed up!

For the last week I noticed that MSN doesn't work when searching for backlinks (link:www...). I returns a blank page every time, but site:www... still works??? I checked their "advanced options" to make sure it is still link:www... and it is. What is going on? I wouldn't care so much exept I have SEO tools that query this information from the SE's and it now is always "0" for MSN, and trying to contact them...forget it. Submitted a form days ago and no change.

i have also noticed this, when i went onto marketleap site to check my back links it said that i had 0 back links when i know from the week before that i had 100s of back links.

I start to use hotbot.com you can check MSN there as well .... seems to work

Maybe MSN is updating. That's why. Me too my backlinks until now is still 0. They will update soon enough that we will see the results. Just wait.

If it is an update, it's odd to have a blank html document show...don't you think?

i also experienced that and some of my keywords have lost positions in SERPs. i find it really weird

It has been disabled because of “mass automated usage for data mining”

Well, I fixed my link popularity tool and now it gets backlinks from Live Search through Hot Bot. For some reason link: through HotBot searching MSN still works.

I think its a technical glitch because just before it went all haywire I got an error that said there was a message sent to tech support for something. Im sure they will fix it soon...
