Cloaking Detector Reveals That Yahoo Is Cloaking Its Homepage

With Cloaking Detector Tool I've discovered that Yahoo.com does actually serve a cloaked version of its own home page.

These values refers to the difference existing between the Yahoo's home page as it's seen by Googlebot's eyes, and the same page that everybody of us is actually seeing (when not logged in, of course

So, is Yahoo! doing user-agent Cloaking?

i dont feel supprise. they need to serve different group of users, so they need targeted site to achieve best result.

It's pretty common...This doesn't really fit the definition of cloaking. Cloaking is when you alter content with intent to deceive or to manipulate search engine rankings. Most larger companies with dynamic web sites serve different content based on a number of factors. It's personalization, not cloaking.

Yup, Yahoo is doing IP based delivery. Not evil or untoward in any way.
