Do internal links help with PR?

If you have lots of internal links within the same url pointing to a particular page, does this help with pr at all?

It will improve the PR of the page that all the links are pointing to. (But you can't increase the amount of PR a site in total has by internal linking).

Yes internal links will help improve page rank for your site. Submit your site to high page rank directories or links with high page rank

If you linked to an internal page on your website. Does the overall website receive pr or just that one page?

Internal links pointing to a particular page in the same url doesn't help in PR. According to this 2004 article http://www.textlinkbrokers.com/blog/more/A107_0_1_0_M/, I'm not sure if it still applies today though - maybe it still does.

The more internal links the less your PR however should these internal links gain links themselves then it will greaten your overall PR.

Simple.

That was what I was trying to say. If an internal page gains backlinks, will that increase the overall pr of the website?

Proper use of internal links and anchor text definitely improves rankings, and can improve pagerank to particular pages, depending on the linking/site structure.

Yes. Say you have a blog, and one of your posts is hugely popular and gets a ton of incoming links. If it has a PR6 next update, the pages that are linked to from that page will see a definite benefit (whether they're internal or external links). As long as you have a good site structure, incoming links to it will benefit the overall site.

Yep, while not having an impact on PR, internal links can have a significant impact on your SERP. Just make sure to use the right keywords!

- Internal links will help your web site page rank if:
* get links to this web page from other web site,
* get less oubounds links to other web site at this web page.

Pagerank Explained

Internal pages count for Pagerank.

Please read this article: http://www.iprcom.com/papers/pagerank/

Good internal linking of a site will ensure that PR is distributed well through the site.

internal links help but you need to get a lot of back links to your site. you should link to deep pages. this will spread out PR though out your entire website.
