What's better?
I am wondering what helps with SEO more...posting on many forums a few times, or posting on a few forums many times, and having you sig. attached?

Forum sigs aren't going to help much in SEO terms. They can help a lot in click through traffic if you are posting on relevant forums.
In answer to your question, I think that Google would value links coming from a large number of IP addresses, so you'd be better of getting sig links from a large number of forums.

Forums sigs are not gona be of great benefit to your seo efforts so I wouldn't advise using forums just for seo.
If your a well respected member of a forum with lots of posts then you are likely to get more clicks on your signature links.

Neither will probably be enough to make a difference in the long run. Yes, you'll get indexed quicker, but unless you watch your P's and Q's you'll get nowhere fast.

You should participate in the forums with your signature because it can help boost traffic and link popularity for a site.

Forum sigs are indeed quite useful in that regard but I choose not to use my sig for anything like that...just seems, I don't know, tawdry somehow. I'm an old-fashioned gent in many regards.

Forum helps to increase back links, traffic for your site and forum helps you to gain knowledge. So I suggest that you chose forum which is related to your site and also will help you to boost your knowledge in SEO.

I may be out of touch, but while forum sigs are nice, the main draw for me is to learn from other people tackling the same issues, and hopefully give back something meaningful from time to time as well.
