I want to konw why article & blog submission in SEO activity. What is the benifit for that activity.

As a matter of fact it depends where you submit your articles and whether you have contextual links or not. Many article directories don't allow contextual links, but Searchwarp, GoArticles and Ezinearticles do. In my experience Ezinearticles is the best. I'd conclude: article and blog submissions have a higher SEO value if they have contextual links (not signature links)

Article submissions and blogging (promotions) can both help improve your traffic and link popularity to some extent.

I use article submission and blog for back links and traffic. I also use blog for three way link exchange.
