Does Traffic Help to Improve Organic Ranking?

Does Traffic (CTR) Help to improve organic Ranking?
In my opinion it does, however this factor is not heavily weighted yet.
What do you think? Do you have any evidence?

This should be and will be in the future, it would only make sense for the search engines. If a visitor constantly went to the second listing instead of the 1st for a particular keyword then the second term should be #1.

Yeah,,,, I think click behavior and session time is already being tracked by Google. Especially if you are using the G toolbar. I don't think Google has come out and said it yet, but click behaviour was part of the Orion Algorithm they purchased a couple years ago. Kinda makes sense to use something you buy. If you own it, why not implement it?

I would expect it to be a small factor right now, but probably more important as time goes on. It shouldn't be at all hard for search engines to figure out which sites are being clicked on, and if people come straight back out of the site, they could make a guess that the site didn't give the information sought.

Not sure how they'd cope with those who right click and open sites in new tabs or windows, but that's probably a smallish number of searchers.

I agree it's possible, but I've yet to see any evidence of it making a difference.

If you get traffic from banner exchange, your Alexa ranking get's penalized. If you get traffic from PPC, you're just dumping money because once the advertising stops, your traffic stops too.
