relevant links and seo
I want to get some feedback from you guys, what do you guys think of relative links, and seo, and how do you think Google determines what a "related" link is?

Pr7- 8 links are very expensive especially if they are coming from relevant content. Finding these links directly is the best way to go instead of going through a link broker.

I agree, I have found some links that were a good price, 2 pr7, but I think its going to take probably 5 more pr7 to get my serp level up where it needs to be. I have a nice select of relevant related pr6 links, well only like 4-5, but there relevant.
I'm still looking for text links, but for a excellent price, ones that are releated, or blog post contextual links.

I think buying hight PR links is a waste of money. In the end, you are only renting them. If anything you should buy for traffic and exposure. This way more potential natural links can be obtained.
You can EASILY generate lots of PR7 links through writing good content and authorative content/articles.
Find a need, fill it and people will link to you. Simple as that.

These links wouldn't happen to be in the financial field, would they?
I would be very interested if they were and would pay a broker fee to you.

Relevance of links are most likely determined from the meta tags of the site.

all the other is copybook.
No one tell you the truth here.
every knows how difficult it is get a pr 7 links only after writing content or doing all the other goods.
you should either have to purchase or have to really digg it hard to get them.
Back Link consideration depends upon:
1) your meta - link page meta
2) your content - link page content.
3) your keyword used - link page content keywords used.
4) your linking keywords - their (linking page's)content, meta, G indexation, PR etc.

Wow! You are one of the lucky few! And I suppose the traffic is also increasing your ROI?

There's a lot of bullshit about relevant links. Let me clear the myth here.
From my observation, any incoming backlink is a bonus. E.g. maybe 1 point.
If you get a backlink from a relevant site, it's worth 2 points.
If you get a high PR backlink, maybe it's worth 2-3 points.
However, if you get a low PR but Anchor Text backlink, it might be worth 2-3 points also.
Summary is, you should get as much backlinks as possible. Even exchanging it with low PR sites are ok as long as your outgoing link is not to a Banned Site, Porn Site or Gambling Site.
Regards,
Edmund Ng

The top of what? PR has very little to do with relevance and ranking.
