will switching hosting company effect my rankings

will switching companies effect my rankings?

I've moved hosting companies before, and it hasn't affected ranking.

Leave both sites online while you switch the IP address.

Once the spider stops visiting the old site, and visiting the new site, then take the old site offline.

I'll echo Peter's advice, which mirrors the strategy I recently used to move my sites from one host to the other.

I had no hiccup or in either traffic or rankings.

hmm

that comes to tell you that google looks at the domain, not the ip address.

here recnetly my site been invalid a lot due to my hosting company, so I don't know whats wrong with them, and I don't want the spiders to hit it and get a error, then I'd be screwed.
