I am wandering how well I should incorparated my keywords into my meta description/ how much time i should spend on it (the site i'm working on has lots of pages).

is this article a reliable source??

Meta Description does not currently impact rankings in any of the major search engines.

Google, however, often uses it as the text returned on the SERP. So, it is essentially your ad copy, and can be important for click through rate. Include it on everypage and write it for potential site visitors, not the robots.
