Yahoo! does major update of search results!
Pleased to report that Yahoo! has just done a major update of it's search results and alot of the SEO work that I have done over the last few months has just kicked in, last time I saw an update like this was at the beginning of last December. If you have been waiting for some work to kick in on Yahoo! it might be good news.

Yeah seems to have changed but localization still very poor compared to Google (e.g. Search for "Pizza Dilivery"). And no boost for UK sites from UK searches and so "Pages from the UK" must be clicked and rarely do users bother

Seems like they did an update not too long ago. I will have to check their search blog. Yep, their last one was April 3rd.

Yep, I am ranking very good in Yahoo all of a suddden. I think they might have even eased on their ageing delay filter. My domain is only 90 days old and is ranking well in Yahoo now for search terms that I wasn't even in the top 300 in before last week.

I am seeing a lot of spam. There are three sites with 0 back links ranking for my main keyword.

I was sent from top 20 to 110. I have been building links to very high quality directories and sites. I couldn't imagine why this would happen.

Is there a bounce effect with Yahoo. Since the first time I checked the Serps I was always between 250 and 300. A week before I moved down to top 20 I moved down to like 400 for a little while.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Well this is the first time I ever got excited over yahoo SERPS...
I just did a search and I rate very high for some of my key terms

I never paid much attention to yahoo up until now. Thanks for the heads up...

Wow nice, I outrank the flickr HDR group for the keywords "HDR Photography" haha. Google would never have let that happen! What sort of update did they do? Just tweak their algorithm?
