Mulitple Ip's
If I have 10 ip's on one server and one website per IP. Each design is unique and all run off the same DB plus none of the sites are linked together, would the major search engines penalize this type of set up?

All the sites are basically the same theme, genre etc but all content is unique.

If there's no link exchange between these sites, there will be no penalty from Search Engines.

SE are not stupid. You do not have 10 ip's that are all unique numbers in the Class C range on one server and so will be counted as one.

Even if you did have 10 unique ranges is a drop in the ocean compared to all your other back links.
