That article was OK, but mostly just indirect marketing. Most of those guys were just trying to promote the products of each other. The one thing they didn't mention is the most difficult, but it is free and the best way to promote your site. Type in your top 3-4 key phrases in Google and see what sites are ranked at the top, then check those sites for a links page, if they have a links page, then add each site to your links page and drop them a courteous e-mail asking for a recipricol link. If you have a good web site then about 80% of those sites will give you a link.
After that, start deep linking your links page in blogs, directories and articles. Try to treat your links page like a valuable source of information in your area of expertise. Then, after a few months, your links page will pick up good page rank and people will be contacting YOU for links.
1. Reciprocal links are okay, but quite honestly reciprocal links are not so good. when promoting a website 1 way unique links are the better way to go, and who wants to have a page full of links.
2. 80% of them websites will give you a good link, false 80 percent of websites will not give you a good link this is not a a percentage game, its trail and error working with people on getting links.
3. You can't always be so sure about page rank, and a few months google takes approx. 3 months before it updates page rank this falls back into the category of getting good 1 way unique links.
Reciprocal links don't carry as much as power as what 1 way unique links do, when people are trading links the page gets flooded out, the best thing to do in a situation like this is to buy sponsored links from high end web directories, and to gain natural links through viral marketing, and link baits.
If you want good traffic, optimize your site in such good way that it comes on the first page of the particular keywords which the users will be typing in for their search. Though it is not that easy job but if you make it there, you'll be seeing a flow of visitors to your site.
You will always need links, but never forget: content, unique content, and content. Give the search engines, and humans, a reason to link to you, and they will do so.

I disagree with TDD1984, there is absolutely nothing wrong with reciprocal links, especialy for a web site just starting out. If you make sure that you only link with quality websites that have content similar to yours it can be a great way to get free quality links. A links page is also fine, in fact if done properly and with care can be a valuable resource for your visitors, it is just another place they can go to find information and that is what the web is all about. My brand new blog originaly had nothing but recipricol links and got a page rank of four after three months. Only link to the best web sites in your area and you will reap the rewards.
I have a site - i want to good traffice and i want to popular this site plz tell me how we can get good traffic and good visitor.

Toptenrank
traffic lots of work were currently in the top 10 for website design and web design is coming up we have very many competitive keywords coming up in the serps, how we earned hehe lets just say work and time
for your site to become popular you need to create quality content submit your site to social media network and directories participate and be active to forums ( related to your site) create articles and submit it to sites that accept article submissions create a press release.
1.Try to have original content, SE spiders like to crawl fresh article...
2.Try to have many back links as much as possible...
3.optimized your meta and title tags...
It is very easy to get good traffic .Firstly the contents of your site must be interesting and crowd pulling .Secondly keep on updating your sitesand last but not the least try to get urls for your site in other site.
All the best
Link building is a very good thing to work hard on. As well as submitting to multiple e-zines and submitting well written articles. Watch grammar and spelling as well as keeping on topic within your articles. If you don't make any sense, then you will lose your reader before you even have them. These are just a couple suggestions. There are a ton more, of course.
