Is this fresh content?
My site displays 9 featured in the center of my homepage. Each time you refresh the site a new 9 products comes up, or at least in a different order. Does this count a fresh content since each time the spider drops by my source code is different?

I would argue that it is considered a fresh content if you put it this way. As long as you update your webpages, the spiders think that you put new stuff there. IMO.

From what I've experienced, fresh content is best considered when text accompanies images, not just fresh images.
So, if you've got a blurb or a small description with maybe an image with each product, then you're probably all good.

Each product has a picture with image alt tags, the product name and price. My site gets spidered pretty much every day (I love it) and I was wondering if this is the reason.

Fresh content gets the spiders coming back more often, indeed.
Good and relevant content gets you good rankings for associated terms.
You look like you've got both, and those nice, crisp, high-quality images are fantastic for your customers (I'm assuming it's the mxmegastore one). Nice site.

Yea, that is the one. The other one is just a project I'm working on in my spare time to test my seo skill. I haven't even changed it over to english yet.

Have people proven this? From my simple observations it seems Page Rank and inbound links is the determining factor of how quickly a sites new pages are indexed.

Quality not freshness does this.

No, otherwise everyone will be pulling up random content from the db to the homepage. Again even if it was fresh I do not think it will increase your new pages indexed time.

i think fresh contents are for ranking in search engines, because search engines like fresh contents.

Your website ranking on search engines fluctuates according to the popularity of your website and this is partly influenced by the fresh content you add at any particular time. To maintain a high ranking, it is important that you add unique content on a regular basis.

khaty you should not provide a quote without the source. For the record Search Engines like Google prefer established old content and NOT fresh content.

From my experience.. as long as you use proper product title on each product, you should be good..
Try to use the search term on each products title..for instance if u are selling diet pill products and "diet pill is the term" use "diet pill" on ur products titles like Hoodia Gordonii Diet Pill
Do not use it too much.. check the search term density..
Thanks
Troy
