Got good placement...but maybe under wrong words?

Hey,

I am number #1 on google for "webmaster auctions"

But now I'm thinking I should be under "ad auctions" or "advertising auctions"

What do you guys think?

To Decide on the right search term for your site you should probably use some kind of term suggestion tool to tell you how many people there actually are looking for that specific phrase.

Overture and
Wordtracker
are two of the better known ones.

Balence this of against the level of competition for the phrase (competing sites, backlinks ect..) then it should give you a much better idea of what to aim for.

Those tools are very important to learn the potential traffic they can drive to your site, but you also need to factor in what keywords are more relevant. The most important thing is to target terms that have a very high chance of the user converting, it is better to get a decent amount of targetted traffic then a whole lot of untargetted traffic.
