V7N directory and SEO neighbourhood

I know that John's directory is very good.

But I am asking myself now some other things..
Best sites which were been optimized are those that you can't tell that they were in hands of some SEO expert. YOu can't see SEO signs..

I checked neighbourhood of V7N directory and saw that google think that V7N dir is related to seobook.com and text-link-ads.com (link network).

I am asking myself now, is it good for some site which is about nature to get backlink from sites which have BL's from SEO sites like V7N directory does?

V7N dir have SEO background and I'm not telling that this is bed, but IMHO it is the best to not connect with SEO neighbourhood

I know that John's target audience for this directory is SEO public, but I think that this isn't the best for the sites which are added to directory.

Would you connect your site which is about dogs with SEO neighbourhood ?

I'm focused here only on link neighbourhoods..

I would like to hear your opinions..

Yes I would connect my website which is a site about Dogs with an SEO neighborhood, and I do. In this example it's about the page you get listed on, not so much about the directory website. When we're building links for clients that are serious about their business we always list them with business.com, aviva, alive and v7n - the backlinks work and they don't accept crap. I know because v7n has denied a couple websites I've submitted. ~ I've submitted 10 and 2 we're denied for quality reasons which is understandable. The same sites were denied by alive and aviva as well... directory standards represent.

Its not so much about v7n's related sites ~ it's more about what other sites are listed next to your DOG site in the directory.

If you have a dog website, and you get listed here -

http://directory.v7n.com/Top/Recreation/Pets/

The search engines are going to see your website related to the other pet websites listed on that page. I went through each of those links on that directory page and they're all good. If I had a dog website I'd want mine to be classified similiar to the websites listed on this page ~ http://directory.v7n.com/Top/Recreation/Pets/

- the point is not so much about the website you get listed on, it's what your link & link description is published next to and better yet > on what directory page/category you get listed on. If this dog and pet page had links to software backup websites and myspace layouts, yes - by all means - stay away, but when you can get quality backlinks that will help relate your website with others while passing on PR ~ go get it.

Co-citation is important, I thought too much about neighbourhoods of linking domain.

Yes it is an "Authority" Directory". Just type in: v7n is Google and you will see. Just be sure to use small letter v and n.

I think the fact that v7n Directory is a well respected and authority site outweighs the fact that it is related to sites that might not be directly relevant to you.

As long as you are listed in the correct category then you WILL be on a site that is relevant to you.

Its a directory. It's supposed to have different categories. You will have a relevant link when put in the correct category.

directory.v7n.com is part of the authority website.
