erm my little finger went dead on this frigging laptop but normally i use a logitech mouse a new one with a place for the thumb, id advise lifting weights to keep muscles strong take more brakes and make sure you have a rest on the desk for your forearm.. its generally over use of certain tendons arthritis is wear and tear of cartilage you can buy a thing you squezze like a stress ball that works to keep muscles flexed ans strong swimming also,,, for supplements take fish oil and GNC do a combo of msm for tendons glucosamine and chrondrontin in one pill fack all that injection ****e unless its going to treat the caause not the symptom but yeah ergonomics is important stretching etc and diet all help

jazee take the suppplement in large doses it repairs cartilage at cellular level

That happened to me over the summer when i was doing alot of programming for long periods at a time. I didnt have to goto the doctors, but i called him and asked about it before anything serious DID happen. He said that soe little things that can help are, to make sure you are sitting properly when typing, and to try and keep your wrist straight when typing or using the mouse,, so in other words just dont let your hands hang off the edge of the keyboard, so if you have one of those wrist thingys on your keyboard USE IT! I did those things and within a couple of days it was gone. Good luck with it though.
