I had similar situation, but in a little while it went back to normal. This could happen because of Google dancing. Keep working on your site hope your keywords ranking will come back soon.

the keyword I am pointing is still at the 3rd page of google! from 3 to 3rd page!

It goes to 2nd page but now it goes back to 3rd page and worst!

But anyway I am not loosing hope It will come back!

Just be patient!
