On going optimization?
Hi guys, just a quick one really...
I have a gambling website which was started a few months back and optimized in various ways, now everything has come into play i am getting a fair few hits from google, msn etc under quite competitive keywords, for example, if i search google(uk) for uk online casinos i come up 8th out of 8 million results
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...e+Search&meta=
when the site was optimized i used various techniques such as article submission, backlinks / link building, quality keyword research etc
i am just wondering if i need to carry on optimizing the website further to keep the rankings
thanks in advance

Don't stop optimizing your site.. 'coz SEO is a continuous process and as the SE updates it algorithm all time...
Update your contents and build links....

Is there ever a point where you have so many links, that we will build by themselves or where you wont have to do anything anymore, or is that not possible?

i have done over 300 article submissions to start with thats how the ranking is getting where it is now
if i add more content to the already optimized homepage won't that reduce the density of my primary keywords?

carry on building links in different ways for your site. For the content I'd say write content from the users' perspective and not for the SEs. A professional content writer can supply a content keeping in mind the users and SEs viewpoints.

Quite honestly I would continue building links to it, and keep targeting other keywords. I don't know exactly what your trying to achieve out of your website, but my goal on any website to to always make sure its moving forward and that would be addressed by building links, and optimizing!

I have had a good play with keyword densitys over the last couple of months, at this moment my densitys are up the spout as I just added some text links to the bottom of all pages.
so adding more content will change you keyword density for sure. I found a program "ekwd check" easy to use and small to, so doesnt use up processing power. I was running site evaluation and keying my site into the number 1 page's densitys. cool little tool
hope this helps in some way as it was learnt from doing it wrong, hope you can get something good out of it.

Yes. When? If you build a very good authority sites which it was worthy enough for the visitors to come back and fort for it. Think Google for this situation or any other useful sites in the web now. If you reach this point, then its all automatic.
