indexed pages decreasing in google

hello all,

I am running a site www.theory-test.co.uk.
Before some days google was showing 129 pages as indexed.
After that the number comes to 124.
And now it is showing 122.

What do u think, what is the reason for this???
will it cause any dangours effect on site??

Please help me out of this...

I suggest you to add a complete sitemap to your website. This will help Google spiders to get a hold of all areas of your website easier, faster, more accurate.

Well, i havent lost any backlink yet.
Its still showing 14.

But i think, first google indexed 129 pages. After 124 and now 122.
So was it caused by sitemap??

I dont think so. Because we havent changed anything yet.

And yes, traffic is also going good.

But i just wanted to be sure will it affect my ranking in future?

I suggest getting some IBLs to the lost pages, they will surely return to the Google index withing a few days after that.

Add a sitemap. Also upload sitemap to google & Yahoo. Through the Google webmaster central you can check for the reasons.

ya..i have added a sitemap to google also..
but its showing error pages that are not on our site. (may be old pages).

Also one point is the size of pages are too high 99k ..It may be the reason??

Even if you added a sitemap effects will not be recognizable over night. Get some IBLs to those pages and simply have patience.

Is there some great decrease in traffic ?

there is not a great difference in traffic...

But if this is going on...then i think traffic may get decrease.

this was happen to my blog too: bloggingsecret.net ! From 600 visitor per day to 60 visitor per day! What is happening? Google didn\'t bring traffic for me anymore?

One thing is pages not being indexed anymore and other thing is traffic count. I seriously doubt that pages with slid inbound links may drop from Google's index for no reason.

check for broken links within the site...that is if u hav changed some path by mistake..

It doesn't vanish Google actually don't display all backlinks they just display samples of it.. It doesn't mean you don't have backlinks... Building more IBL than OBL will do the trick...

Is your rankings are still the same when you get 600 visitor/day before?

it doesn't vanished may be its a fluctuation... because Google is very hard to determine, Google is not showing all links and pages gathered. Just continue
updating your site and keep working it...

it happens sometimes, some indexed pages are lost, but check it some other time, it would appear again.

Don't think you should worry about this. Google, Yahoo, Alltheweb etc seems to fluctate for the moment. I have especially noticed this with Google and Yahoo. The number of indexed pages increase or decrease from day to day. Agree with the others to update your sitemap. Recommend you to add some stories to coRank, digg and other Social bookmarking sites as well.
