It is better to go for SEO than spending so much money.

Why to bother for Alexa Rankings & paying $499 per mnth, instead you can hire an SEO or do some PPC with that budget monthly. You will get loads of traffic with this.
The ultimate goal is to bring traffic & convert that into ur buyers. So why bother for Alexa rankings if you can get business without having Alexa Rankings.

Well, as title say, what do you think of alexarankteam.com. Their main business is to increase Alexa rankings of your site for some charge. Can we keep faith on such site who claims for increasing alexa ranking? The price is too high for me. The cheapest price is $499 per month!

Alexa is not that accurate tool, do not just rely on those teams because there are more accurate methods of checking your traffic than alexa.

Agreed. I never use Alexa and I don't even install alexa toolbar in any of my internet browser. I prefer Google Analytics.

It appears Arrington has come to the correct conclusion based on the wrong evidence!
Alexa is horrifically flawed due to self-selection bias of who installs the toolbar.
The true evidence comes from comparing ranks across domains that attract widely different demographics. Alexa over-ranks domains visited by SEO / Marketing / Webmaster groups. Other groups don't use the toolbar; heck they don't even know it exists!

Cornbread: Using the toolbar will increase your rank because at least your visits will be counted.
The current most convenient, non-horrifyin' cheating', not to tough way to boost an Alexa rank is to make a blog do-follow and make sure people know you are do-follow. There are several do-follow lists maintained, and you want to contact those people and get on. (Tricia, Court and Nicusor all have lists.)
This boosts your Alexa rank because most the people on the dofollow list are marketing blogs to advertisers and so have Alexa bars installed.
That said, if you do this, you want to a) make sure your comment spamfilters are great adn b)use the "right" do follow plugin which was written by.... me! (Lucia's Linky Love.)
The reason you want this plugin is that once you are on a dofollow list, you will attract human comment spammers. The plugin has features that make your "dofollow" blog less attractive to the human comment spammers. (My ultimate goal is to make it the labor cost of human comment spammers $20 per actually achieved "dofollow". At that point, they are better off just paying V7N, PPP, TLA etc.)

Alexa can be faked. But even though it can be faked, companies such as text-link-ads use its ranking to affect the price of a link.
In order to manipulate Alexa, (1.) create a .html document on your website that doesn't use adsense -- else you'll be banned. (2.) Put some content on that .html page, and put the Alexa widget on it. (3.) Use proxy sites to open up that page.
Heck, someone can write a script that'll grab a list of proxies and destination URL of the .html file and can easily fake out Alexa this way.
Alexa is pointless to anyone who knows anything about rankings; however, since advertisers have failed to realize how easy it is to manipulate Alexa, then those seeking profit will have to either generate organic traffic or manipulated traffic.

The main difficulty is those with a reasonable amount of organic traffic can still have very poor Alexa ratings while others with very little traffic have good ratings.
Alexa numbers really mean practically nothing. However, they are used. Because they are used, the gain credibility. Then they get used more! It is truly amazing.

To increase your Alexa rank for free, just do this:
* Install the Search Status Firefox Extension.
* Enable the Alexa Rank.
* Hit Ctrl-t to open a new tab.
* Visit your Web site
* Leave that tab open and forget about it. Never close it. Set Firefox (v.2) to remember your open tabs every time you re-open Firefox.
Ask a couple of friends to do the same. Alexa ranking will go way up...
Alexa rank is meaningless, except that some people think it is valuable, so it can be valuable in those cases...

I never paid any attention to Alexa ranking until an advertiser was going to drop one of my sites... and they changed their mind after seeing my Alexa rank...

Don't spend $ just for alexa ranks, it's not accurate. Do not rely on this tool.

Exactly, however, some webmaster especially when it goes to 'exchange links' they don't care if your website has high PR. They still count at your Alexa rank, unfortunately.
