Increasing alexa ranking?

I am not sure where am suppose to post this one.

Well, as title say, what do you think of alexarankteam.com. Their main business is to increase Alexa rankings of your site for some charge. Can we keep faith on such site who claims for increasing alexa ranking? The price is too high for me. The cheapest price is $499 per month!

Just wondering why do you want to buy just ranking ? I mean, if you can go for 499 then
- why not create blog hire some writers blog it and advertise it ?
- infact, why not just advertise it ?

How high are you trying to get your Alexa rank? You might be able to get 100,000 easily by hiring 100 high school students, and pay them $20 to install the Alexa toolbar and make your site their homepage for a year. There are plenty of other things you could do. (Creative highschool clubs could probably develop an Alexa boost service and rake in bucks to send the school band, choir or sports team on a trip.)

$499 per month? Why rely on Alexa Ranking... Alexa Ranking just computation of approximate visitors of site... And it is manipulated even you don't buy for it....

If your traffic is high your alexa ranking is high... As for me.. my site Alexa ranking is 3,000,000 but when I SEO it.. now the Alexa Ranking is 580,000....

For me I will focus on SERPs rather than Alexa Ranking...

it is advisable to SEO a site rather than charging you $499 with only a ranking computation site.....

Why does anyone care about Alexa? I don't think I have ever seen a referral from Elexa come to my site. That $499 could be better used to increase web exposure and traffic to your site.

Advertisers. A lot of them use Alexa to find places to advertise.

But if you have a quality web site that ranks well, you won't have a problem finding advertisers, they will find you. I am a newbie and am still learning, but the advertisers that have contacted me have tallked about page rank but not Alexa rankings. I have ignored Alexa so far because I don't really understand what it even is. It measures traffic, but only from people that have the Alexa tool bar installed. Right or wrong?

Right, Alexa is just an extention of amazon to make extra money, but to be honest with you, this is nothing else than a false traffic indicator. Some people claim that give an idea of traffic, I desagree, Alexa is not only way off but completly and massively spammed.

So this is no point to use it.

Some advertisers, including some of the big agencies, look pretty much exclusively at Alexa rankings.

For me both Google and Alexa ranks are as important. Some of the companies charge more than $1000 for this work. But you can also try to do it by yourself, there are some guidances and tips if you want to search it in google.

they use a software i guess...for example alexa booster..but you dnt get a real users..

Its done with the help of software and why to bring Alexa ranking through fake visitors ??? Start a Blog with good content for the readers and advertise it with some money ... you will get your needful from it and tell your frds to install Alexa toolbar and visit your site daily atleast once.

You will get to see the changes in few months for sure.
