Mahalo Follow- Comparitive Search Tool

I'm not sure why anyone would want to compare Mahalo results to Google, but if you do, Mahalo have a new plug-in.

http://greenhouse.mahalo.com/Special...wDownload?id=9

I couldn't be bothered installing it after I performed a quick manual comparison:

Google search for Jaguar
Mahalo search for Jaguar

I was thinking cat, which Mahalo doesn't mention, so Google wins. Why would I want to be followed around by irrelevant search results?

I'm not going to even start on the Mahalo result for "search engine"....

Smile Good catch

We are in alpha right now with 9,200 pages covering 20x that in terms of search terms. It's 10-20% of what it will be some day... so please forgive us if we don't have something.

Jaguar is a perfect example of something we should do disambiguation on (like we do for Rome the TV show or city, or Apple the fruit or company).

We'll get to alll these little things over time.

For now I would encourage you to compare when we have a result to machine search SERP for the same page. You'll are results are spam free, organized and much higher quality.

The goal isn't to have everything... but to have much better serps for the most popular terms. Then we let machines do the rest.

best jason

Hey Jason

Fair enough. I missed the "when your search matches a Mahalo page" qualification.

Dear Google:

lucia is on the right pathlucia is on the right path
I just blogged about Mahalo Nofollow! Surfing the web with that is as fun ad a video game. Do it. You'll crack up laughing at the hilarious association in the sidebar. Today when you visit Jason's calacanis.com blog, the Mahalo Follow sidebar suggests links to "Pink" and assorted other female vocalists.

(Of course, releasing Mahalo Follow, is a great Alexa play. Image getting everyone to load a Mahalo page every single time the refresh their screen or visit a web site. If his contests gets more than 1000 people to install the sidebare, Mahalo's Alexa will exceed You Tubes in a week!)
