We are currently setting up a football transfer rumour website (link removed), is there any advice/services on increasing the number of relevent links to the site please.

You link exchange to related sites....

Forums sigs is a good one, directory submissions, do social bookmarking, promotional ads....

Get links from one way link exchange program...like forums, blogs, directories etc...this is time consuming..but very effective....

Look for seo services. If you can afford

Don't go for auto submissions. Be aware of linking to bad neighborhood sites.
