Just use a simple signature.... and being banned depends on what type of posts members are posting if somebody are just posting here just to get backlinks through their signature links... Surely they are banned... That kind of form is spamming a forum... I have seen many who do it...SEO is a continous process you must have to learn continously, have patient and perseverance...
Goodluck..

lol!
So, up to the top left of the page you see a link 'user cp', click on that, then on the next page you'll see 'edit signature' on the upper left. That's where you do your signature.

That's great to know! You are at right place, will learn soon, how to do all these things.
That's call quote or multiquote [if you are quoting more than one post] To do this you need to click on QUOTE from the particular post [in the right end corner] for which you are replying. If you want to give several replies then click on the 2nd button which has the + sign [will turn into - [minus] ] Repeat this for selecting other posts. Then click on QUOTE. Now you will be able to see selected quotes in the post. You are ready to reply for each post in a single post.
I think this will help you replying with QUOTE or MULTIQUOTE.
For sig to display you will need 50 posts [minumum].

Thanks a lot
found out a good way to promote a web is to write articles...cool, i worked as a journalist in a local newspaper, will do it good, but my boss said these articles are not read at all, they are just for web robots, on my side I read that the better article is, the better it is for promotion. Who is right??

SEO doesn't matter much anymore
SEO doesn't matter much anymore so take it easy.
The reason is that no matter how good you are or how much effort you make to attain top 10 ranking, the major search engines especially Google would find ways to frustrate you and block your progress.
You need to go offline to promote your business and refer people to your online website.
When you do that, you would generate traffic and all the major search engines would be forced to recognize you, give you the pagerank that you deserve and also send more traffic to you.
That is the secret of most of the serious internet marketers who are doing very well online

something new
have never heard this before, may be you are right, but i am on a 3-month trial, if i dont increase the site i am promoting to PR7 for 3 months i will be fired (that was the condition on which i was hired on this job)
so my attempts are worthless?

Load of rubbish. How do you get PageRank by promoting offline? If you don't know what you're talking about, best to keep quiet.
Conkurent - it's bloody hard to get PR7 in three months. What do you have now? Google only update their PageRank on the Toolbar every three or so months anyway, so how would you know? And just because you have PageRank 7, it doesn't mean anything. All it means is, if the site is optimised it should do really quite well. But it means that you don't have to optimise. It's a weird thing on which to be hired.
You don't have to do SEO at all to get PR7. You just need as many pages as possible with high Page Rank to link to you. Spend every day for the next three months getting links from other sites. But don't spam.
The wedding site thing, it's a blog, right? Or is that wrong, I just looked in your profile.
Who came up with the idea of PageRank to see if you're doing well after three months?

Rankenstein, you will be shocked but I hardly know what is blog and what is not, a blog - a website with news and stuff? the web i am promoting contains info on how to buy their wedding invitations - onlne shopping, contact details, etc. Is that a blog? I doubt...or is that a splog? ehhh, i must learn it as soon as possible 'cause that is a shame for an intellectual modern person not to know that!
The PR idea - the director of the computer company told this idea, he seems to be quite good at website promotion... (i guess so)
How can I know if i am spamming? )

Oh My My... you want to know everything just by asking question.
Actually that's a good way, but the better one would be lots of reading.
Have you read anything on this subject?
