Let's not forget, that on most other forums, I think you can paste a link to your website or a specific article on your site if it pertains to the forum topic. You can't do that here because it's considered self promotion.

I would definetely agree with this, I have already recieved so much helpful information from knowledgeable people on this forum, and I have not been a member for very long. The signature links would just be and added benefit.

I got the majority of my sales from forum posting for a long time - i haven't forum posted as a means of getting my web site noticed for a long time and have relied on google hits but as things ar dropping down the pan for my site right now i think that a spell hitting my favourite forums might help.

you just don't look at the PR. more importantly are the forums you posting are relevant to your website/blog themes. The more relevant they are, the better the result. hopes that help
