which backlink checker is correct?

I use 2 different backlink checkers and they both give me different results.
one says I have 45 and one says I have 59.

Does anyone know about a link checker that is accurate?

or is there another way to check my backlinks?

I used different backlink checker tools but most of them is not accurate enough to get an accurate result. I try using the manual checking of backlinks link:domain name.

Agree to guinanie there is no such thing as accurate when checking backlink using tools.. If i were you, try to check it manually too..

Manually checking for backlinks with link:http://domainname.com isn't going to get you any further than those backlink checkers. Most of those backlink checkers use that same link: code and uses google results. The only way to know your true backlinks is to wait a month once google has updated all your backlinks.

what really happen is.. some of them are not updated.. SEs change their algo or command for checking backlinks..

Have you tried Rank Quest, I think you can rely on their backlink checker but you can only get the backlinks manually.

Thats funny, thats one of the ones I've been using, the one that says 59 so hopefully it is accurate.

Thanks to everyone else's advice.

I recently checked some major sites to see how many and of what quality backlinks they had and one site had over a million so I guess it doesn't really matter if I have 50 or 150 I still have a long way to go.

go to google.com and write: link:www.yoursite.com you will see your backlinks if google indexed them, you will not gona see all of your backlinks, because none of these engines will show them all, but they take them in consideration from what i know.

I heard that yahoo is the fastest for backlinks so go to search.yahoo.com and write the same thing: link:www.yoursite.com

You prefer to use submitexpress as your backlink checker? Huh? That is not an accurate tool...

It gives inaccurate display of backlinks not the real backlinks... If I were you stop using it.. I prefer manually. And even if you're using the link: command still ALL your backlinks are not displayed...
