Getting your website indexed faster

I noticed that many people in this forum are new to blogging and stuff. So here is a small article I made to help them getting their website indexed fast since the PR update is near.
Each Web Search Engine has its own “Spider” which crawls to your website and adds all the content to its database. They love regularly updated content. The spiders from the search engines add every web page they visit and put in their records. This helps you get more search engine results and hence more traffic.
There are millions of websites which are waiting to be indexed and your website is in the queue too. In order to jump the queue and get indexed faster than your “counterparts” here are some points.

Submit your website to the major search engines using their “Submit Website Form”
Add your Sitemap to their databases so that their “spiders” do not miss any page on your website
Link to and comment on websites with high page rank and indexed pages
Submit your website to free directories and major social networking websites
Put AdSense (just put anyones PUB code or leave it empty..Put it for a 48 hours even if you don’t use it)

Detailed explanation and and description of each point

1. Submit your website to the major search engines using their “Submit Website Form”

Most of the major search engines have a form where you can submit your website. It makes it easier for the spiders to find your website then. Click on the name of the search engine to go to their submit website forms.

2. Add your Sitemap to their databases so that their “spiders” do not miss any page on your website

By creating and submitting your sitemap to a Search Engine, you enable Search Engine spiders to find out what pages are present on your website and which have of the previous ones recently changed. To create a sitemap online visit XML Sitemaps.

3. Link to and comment on websites with high page rank and indexed pages

Highly indexed pages are crawled regularly and any site linking to them comes quick in the crawling queue too. Websites like The Official Google Blog are crawled upon regularly. Link to a the website in any post of yours and increase the chances of getting indexed quickly. Also comment on those blogs so that they notice your website right away and they are crawled upon (Yes, I know they are no follow links but believe me it helps)

4. Submit your website to free directories and major social networking websites

Submitting your website in free directories helps you increase the number of backlinks which creates more ways for the spider to crawl your website. Get a list of free directories here.
Also add your posts to Social Bookmarking websites like Digg to get traffic as well as backlinks to your posts.

5. Put AdSense (just put anyones PUB code or leave it empty..Put it for a 48 hours even if you don’t use it)

This is a trick which very less people use. Even if you are not an AdSense user put AdSense up on your website for a couple of days. This forces the spider to crawl your website as quickly as possible so that relavant ads are shown and they get income too.

Follow these tips step by step and you will get indexed your websites faster than any of your web site’s “counterparts” do.

You don't even need to submit to search engines.
Just post 2-3 articles on Digg, Delicio, and reddit and you will be indexed in maximum 5 days.

1st hand submissions are more helpful and are faster for indexing. I released this article as the PR update is near and I dont want potential blogs to lose out even a single day.

I think that article is complete junk. The guy that wrote it doesn't have a clue.

There is only one answer to that question:
"IN BOUND LINKS"

Get a few good inbound links and the Googlebot will follow them to you site where it will be indexed.

You don't have to submit your site to search engines and if your site is optimized and linked together internally with a sound menu system you don't need a site map.

Linking to sites no matter what the page rank won't help you. You want them to link to you.

You don't need to ad AdSense to get your site crawled and indexed, and whatever you do don't put any one else's code on your site, that is idiotic.

I dont understand, if the links are no follow, how will google see them? i thought google was "blind" to no follow links.

If it is a no-follow link the Googlebot will not follow the link back to your web site, so it will not help you get indexed. The author of the original article keeps talking about "linking to" a web site? Linking to them will help them get indexed, but it will not help you. That is one of the worst "SEO Articles" that I have ever read.

For all those people who dont like the article, I got my website indexed in 24 hours by using the techniques. Also I have seen some backlink checkers which also show nofollow links. I use them to check if any of a user using my themes is using adding nofollow tags.. www.backlinkwatch.com does that. Also in the AdSense thing you dont need to put anyones PUB id. You can leave it empty.

I don't like it because it is almost all untrue and unnecessary stuff, complete baloney. Just because you got indexed in 24 hours doesn't mean it was because of those things you mentioned. You probably have a few inbound links right? All you need is a few good inbound links to get indexed.

The bots that crawl your site for AdSense don't index your site, Google themselves have said they are separate and don't influence rankings. Submitting to free directories probably won't help you get indexed because look at 99% of those pages, the pages themselves where you are listed on haven't even been indexed quite often and the ones that have don't get crawled very often. The ONLY thing you said that even had one ounce of truth to it was in your recommendation to submit to social sites. Blog Posts and article submissions with contextual embedded links should help you get indexed faster.

A lot of people get their pages indexed in under 24 hours without using those tactics.

Okay...People seem more experienced out here...I have used them to my advantage and it is up to people whether they want to use it or not. I still stick to it. I got my inbound links after a month. I didn't get the inbound links within 24 hours.

it's kind of a SEO community, what did you expect

Anyway getting indexed in google is pretty simple, even if you don't do much you eventually get your sites indexed. It's the rankings that make the difference

You only have to place ur site in ur signature link of this forum or other forums without nofollow.and PR high.
