Domains by Proxy, does it affect SEO?

Question, do domains by proxy, such as godaddys domainbyproxy (dot) com affect SEO? Does it affect the crawlability and indexation of a website? Does it affect xml data feeds such as google/yahoositeexployer? Does it affect tracking codes such as hittails tracking code from tracking properly? I ask because I only have one website with a domain by proxy, I submitted and confirmed an XML sitemap feed with google sitemaps like a month ago and also implemented a hittail tracking code, and very few urls in my xml sitemap feed have been indexed by google (along with yahoo siteexployer). I go to my website.com/sitemap.xml and the browser reads it fine, yet very few of the urls have been indexed. Also, its not rocket science to install a hittail tracking code, but its not tracking... ive checked, re coded it, but nothing. Hittail is not tracking even though i know through urchin that im getting long tail term visits...

I appreciate any help in this matter.

Thanks!

Hi, Mike Levin here, the creator of HitTail. We help trouble-shoot these sorts of things at our forum all the time. First, try your domain with and without the "www". A lot of times, people try the wrong one first. It's got to match the site that's actually generating the traffic.

Doesn't matter. Only one or the other is going to be the site that's getting found in Google. You should do some experiential searches to figure out which it is. The others should be set with a 301 permanent redirect, so they don't accidentally slip into the results. You want your one main web address to get all the concentrated Google goodness.
