Can you successfully submit Flash sites?

I have a site that some one else did and it is all flash, no text at all. Can you successfully get this web site to be found by the search engines?

From my understanding you have to have text with relative words to get you placed in the search engines. I know know theres more to it than that, I am just being brief.

Thanks for any replies,
Robyn

No, you don't need text on the pages. You can get rankings entirely via use of anchor text of inbound links.

I thought Google and a few other engines now could dismantle Flash pages and get the non imaged text and links out of the flash, infact I have seen it before, hang on I will look for a site...

I think flash is only good for specific projects, if you are planning on starting a site for writing articles, then flash isnt what you want, because search engines wont get it. BUT if you are using it to demonstrate a product, and embedding flash into a site with good solid traffic, then it works well. But be warned, search engines dont like it, humans do though... so you need to mix and match.
