Lightbulb I have a question about alexa traffic ranking
Hi, dear friends, so long no see for I have been in a long vacation.

I have a question about alexa traffic ranking and looking for your views on it.

My website is developing quickly these days and the traffic ranking is uprising too. Our rank is abt 500,000 several days before. But yesterday it sharped to 60,000. Actually, it's really unexpected. I wonder why it raised so rapidly. Is there any sepcial reason ?

We just added url to some dictionaries, not very much, about 200, and no other big offerts.

Looking for your advice on it. Thank you in advance.

I would forget about Alexa ranking and focus on Search Engine Results Pages. Alexa rank will only increase if those with the toolbar visit your site...most don't have it, so what does this mean? Alexa rank is useless.

Agree, don't rely on Alexa Ranking but on SERPs ranking....

Alexa ranking is manipulated as they say....

Do not rely much on Alexa ranking but the hike must be due to the people visiting your site with Alexa toolbar installed in their browser.

Do not rely on Alexa only, rely on your traffic measuring tools like Google Analytics, Statcounter, and webalyzer.

Alexa is not so accurate. It only estimate your site traffic.

The main thing to keep in mind with Alexa rankings is that they measure a specific subset of everyone who searches the web. Typically the individuals that have the Alexa bar installed are web developers or marketers of some sort. Therefore the alexa rankings provide insight only into this demographic rather than rankings based on everyone who uses the internet.

also, it only updates every week or so, i sat @ no rank for a week, 3.9M for a week, 3M for a week, 1.9M for a week etc
