Domain Name Servers and SEO

Does changing a site's domain name servers impact rankings?

Obviously, a new registration impacts SEO efforts, but what impact (if any) does changing a site's name servers. I will be able to give you first hand knowledge soon enough as I ran into a situation and had to change hosting companies for my site.

Still, I wanted to listen to others vantage points on how a name server change can impact a site's search rankings. Thanks in advance.
