Web Site Credibility Markers

If your site looks credible, your web-marketing job is much easier.

Part of making a site a success from an SEO standpoint is making it credible and trustworthy. Being trustworthy means a site is more likely to draw high quality organic links, more likely to be mentioned in the press, and more likely to convert for consumers in your target market.
Do you think twice about linking to an Adsense-ridden spam-fest?

Always.

Any sites with ads are immediately knocked two rungs down on my approval ladder, regardless of other content. More so if it's obvious spammy ads.

Ads make sites less credible?? I don't think so. Well it were true then all the good blogs would have been fired like problogger.net uses ads all over...v7n blog uses ads all over.

Well ads help in monetizing the #1 reason for your online presence!
