Not treating each page as unique, most sites have the same title and description tags throughout the whole site.

Good article, but nothing special, nothing new. Trying to specify bad SEO techniques is same thing as describing good ones. So if someone think that whole SEO activity could reduce to 5 lines, he's truly wrong. I could always find another 5 common mistakes, maybe more important then these from article. Anyway, there's some good stuff in this article, especially about page titles and headings, so if you're not familiar with this there is a lot about this subject on this forum too.

5. poor grammar and spelling

lol! i tried to optimize my blog just yesterday, i found out that i mispelled some of the tags and description.
