Is it possible to get PR3 in just 5 days?

Hi

As I was surfing through Forum, I came across one web Directory which I checked in Smartpagerank and was shocked. It was launched 5 days ago and it has PR 3. How is it possible?

My Directory is almost 1 month old and still not ranked

Can any1 please care to explain this to me... Please

Sure, if the public PR export would be daily, but since it isn't than the answer is No. but on other side yes, but you will see the results ONLY when the PR gets exported (thats every 3-4 months, even tho this latest one is taking a life time to get exported).

Yes it's possible if PR update is around. One of my site got PR2, just 15 days (it was time for PR update) after it's launching.

I still wonder why this PR craze. Forget about PR. Create content and share your information with others. Let other web sites link to your site based on its usefulness.

Moramata, you're right suggesting creating quality content and linking, and forgetting PR thing. That's what the need of the changing google world, but in fact if you see the monetization part, you'll find much appreciation for PR thing, especially in directories. That's what people prefer while paying for a link there, so can ignore it a bit abut can't forget at least.

Did you check the PR 5 days back?

A new directory can be installed on a domain which can be a PR3 or PR5 or any PR

So dont worry... by that concept a new directory can have PR

First of all, some sites would put your link to their site because it can be used as a reference to their site if they are interested to your site.

Second, if you have built your links 5 days or more before the update, there is a higher possibility to have PR3 in your pagerank.

Actually you can acquire PR but internally.. If you are talking about the green bar it usually takes 3 to 4 months Google update it.. but as you can see now that Google is not yet updating PR....

Actually I think they are updating just not the way we expect them to, I have 10 or so sites ranging from newly launched to years old, and the PR on some of these has fluctated over the last month or so, but not all of them at the same time. If that makes sense...

My guess is that PR will no longer be a 3-4 month update, it might take that long to get a rating but the updates are like normal searh results, they update continuously 24X7.

Okay I cant prove this as I dont have a million sites to keep an eye on but comparing what happened during the last PR release I have seen the same sort of changes across the small number of sites I have data for, just not all at the same time.

Its not possible till now Google has no update of PR.

Yes it is possible.. "IF" 5 days before the PR update.. Did you mean at this moment?

it still could be.. because some encounter minor PR updates..(as what i have read in other forums-not accurate)

Getting PR3 has no connection with your keyword celebrity names. But if your saying you want to have better ranking for your keyword celebrity names, you need to get more quality links using your targeted keywords as anchor text and you must create your site contents using your targeted keywords.

Yes, it is. Actually I built a blog and had 5 posts and after 4 days it was indexed by google.
