Mirror Website

lets say...

i have a site reddevil.com
now i have bought the domain reddevil.co.in as well and i want to use this site to optimize reddevil.com
if i keep the home page of co.in same as .com will google spam/ban my site(s)?

also all internal pages of co.in are linked to existing .com pages...is this ok or bad?

Of course it is bad because it's a duplicate content if you want use 301 redirection or not use .com because it is used worldwide and it's popular.

Agreed, Bad Idea..... I have run Mirrored campaigns in the past & have a few clients I just recently had to fix a Google Supplemental Page problem with due to duplication of the same mirrored site on another Domain extension.

Its a great Idea to have .com, .us, .org, .net, Etc.... However you need to have Unique Content on that domain...

This is the main reason people started doing Portal websites rather than Mirrors. A Portal has Unique content, gets indexed for every page just like your main site, it sits on another extension of your domain, & Has the primary purpose of directing traffic back to your main site.

Some portals are used for totally different product / services offered by the same company, yet kept totally separate for Unique indexing purposes.

Granted, a 301 redirect may fix duplications, My personal Opinion would be to drop the mirror idea & go with a Portal..

As what Cool_guy suggested, do a 301 redirect!

Mirrored site is definitely bad! If i were you better build a good and unique content for your site.. About the domain name, it doesn't matter what it is.. What matters is on how will going to optimized it..
