Is a site map really needed!

If you use javascript or flash navigation that doesn't mean "something's wrong." It means your navigation is not readable and you should have a site map. V7n doesn't use javascript or flash navigation so it doesn't require a site map. That doesn't exclude all sites from needing a site map.

Simply because who can be be sure of anything in regards to SEO. I have been studying SEO for years as well as analysing Googles patents, this gives me an understanding of what changes are expected in the future.

Even though I provide SEO services and my websites rank highly in a very competitive sectors I would not say I am an SEO expert or Guru, I would simply state I am a provider of services.

In regards to site-maps or similar subjects, their benefits I would hazard a guess are minimal, however when trying to place a site above its peers, the small things do count, irrespective if the benefits are minimal.

IMHO

using sitemaps will be a great help for spiders to crawl your site and get index because its like the collection of all the pages you want to get indexed and its navigated easily. Not just bu spiders, but also for users.
