Probably.
There are ways to change motherboards with Windows installed, but it isn't much fun and the system ends up being very unstable.

Sorry about all the question.
So, I could add memory to the 96MB of RAM? Like, I could add 512MB of RAM to this motherboard for a total of 608MB?

They are slots to expand the capabilities of your computer via add-on cards. Just about every gadget that you can buy which actually performs a function in the computer (except most video cards - they have a special slot all to themselves) will connect via a PCI slot. This includes, but is not limited by, network cards, SCSI cards, TV Tuner cards (although most tuners are now integrated with the video card itself), internal radio cards, and sound cards. Lately a lot of those items are connecting via USB or Firewire, but the majority of the market still connects via PCI.

No, because there's only 2 RAM slots. Also, it's not a good idea mix new and old RAM. The newer RAM probably has a different timing and will either run very slow and unstable or cause damage to the other RAM.
I don't mind the questions. I love hardware...if you can't already tell.

Yeah...those RAM things. LOL!
Yes, you can do that. Make sure it's DDR RAM though.

i know how to get a good motherboard, a P4 3.06 GH HT processor, and Win XP (home or pro, not sure), all for just $200. And you dont need a vendors license or anything, but I can not tell how to get it!

But, now I have another question. (We are done with the RAM things. )
What about the processor? Is the processor part of the motherboard, or is it seperate?

The processor is separate. The only boards that the processors are a part of are the mini ITX.

Almost. As fast as the motherboard supports.

Correct. That board should be able to support any processor that has a 266Mhz bus (which is up to an XP 3200).
