Alexa toolbar

Anybody have idea on Alexa Toolbar? Whats the use of it and how it helps in SEO? What are the benefits?

What I have heard about alexa toolbar is - it has been spammed by link/ad sellers.
If you want to install it on your desktop it would be useful...
- To get an overview of the traffic about the site you are visiting.
- It will boost your sites traffic graph, counting you as a unique visitor on your each visit.
What else?
I don't believe in AlexaTB...

for me alexa tb is only a basis on how your site is doing. it keep tracks on your traffic and even have the function to compare with your competitor. but sometimes it's not reliable. so use it only as a basis if i were you.

should be used for directional purposes only... vary vague though... I think its only useful to check if your own website is doing better than it was before, but not very useful for traffic...

Can be used only as a rough estimate of the traffic and it's not reliable. This occurs b/c Alexa is reporting only visits from users that have the toolbar installed. This population of users are highly probable not representative to the Internet population so that the statistical data is biased.

i agree to all they have just said... ^^^ based on my own, alexa does not give reliable source compared to other traffic tools...

Alexa is just only estimating a traffic, not so accurate.

I could never really figure out the Alexa traffic stats- they seem pretty inaccurate.

1) Alexa toolbar is a joke.

2) The use of it is made for naive people, because it is nothing more than fake stats.

3) Don't think Alexa will help you for SEO purpose, they just want to sell their AdBrite ads system.
