More Important than SEO

For some reason people seem in such a hurry to launch a websites, they forget one very important aspect.

If your site sells a service or products it MUST display a suitable set of Terms and Conditions, not to do so is crazy, if a customer takes legal action you would not have a leg to stand on. You will probably find you are already breaking the law by not displaying them.

Also be aware that generic terms or ones copied for another source will serve little purpose in the eyes of the law.

If people forget the green bar and start worrying about aspects that really matter, in regards to online businesses, they will be in a much better position.

Thats a great point. I also think if you are buying something online or supplying personal information.

People need to check the security of a site before the give all their personal information.

Sometimes the security certificate is expired. I think people have to check all aspects out before the buy something or even if they are the seller.

Good reminder you have but I believe most of the website owner out their give an emphasize on that matter, or do you have some review on hand showing that most website violate that law?

well, that should be one of the first thing that should be seen in a site WHERE they promote any business / profit in nature.

Remember that you're not just protecting your site against illegal actions but your entity as a business as well.
